The High School affiliated with the University of Tsukuba is a full-time comprehensive school with a 120-year history that observes the three educational principles: Independence, Autonomy and Freedom.
Along with our progressive educational practices, we strive to cultivate distinctive students through higher levels of academic work and to develop both their mind and body so that they can attain higher intellectual and physical capabilities.
Our graduates continue their efforts and studies at universities, and a great number of them play active roles in various fields of society today.
Our school is located in the central part of Tokyo, boasting convenient transportation. Our spacious campus is rich with lush greenery.

In this favorable environment, our students participate enthusiastically in various events and club activities in addition to their academic work.
All school events, such as cultural festivals (Toin-sai), sports meets, annual inter-high school sports matches and school excursions, are organized and managed by student-led committees under the guidance of our faculty.
Each summer, our first-year students participate in a four-day class camping trip at the school’s educational facilities (Toin-ryo) located at the Tateshina highlands in Nagano Prefecture. Along with the class teachers, our volunteer graduates accompany the students, and support their outdoor activities during the camp, which strengthens the bonds between alumni and students. Some students revisit Toin-ryo during their school days or after graduation to participate in various activities.
